While I was pregnant and while I was returning to competition, I was curious to see the effect it would have on my body and how I was going to be able to manage it, so I really enjoyed sharing my journey. In some ways I was pleasantly surprised at how much I could do, but in other ways, it did take a bigger toll on my body than I would’ve guessed. It did take some patience and diligence to work back to my top shape.
I noticed big improvements on the journey back to racing form. At 10 months postpartum, I felt almost ready to compete at my full potential again, and at a year, even stronger.
Now that my son is a little bit older and I’m now finished with competing full time I love finding ways to stay active while bringing him along with me.
